Unmotivation has set in

So Italy is less than a week a way for me and I've hit a wall; I don't want to look at anything Italyish on the internet, it's all I can do to try to keep up with the yahoo group for my trip,  I'm tired of poring over Rick Steve's info, and I have ceased packing and unpacking repetitively. I'm working a lot lately, and trying to get all my work done for the school district for the time I'm gone before I leave, and doing as many acting jobs as possible to somehow try to pay myself back after this trip. Tomorrow I get up at 530 am (Dear Lord please help me be halfway awake by my call time) and leave by 630 am for a shoot in Redwood city. My sister suggested learning some Italian phrases--which is a great idea, but I can't seem to open a book. I'm tired. I'm ready just to go--though it seems like I've got 52 things to do (that I don't really WANT to do) before I go, and I will miss my dogs a lot! At least I really enjoyed getting ready up until now. I think it's like that period of time right before you give birth, where you just sit and stare at things (at least that's how it was for me).

Italy

Hope you have a GRAND time in Italy - know that Pris did -in spades..

TIred after Mary's birthday party here at my house but I AM thinking of you!

Hugs,
Carol
I'm going to Italy on the 24th of this month! (September). Woo hoo! I'm attending a Barbara Sher retreat in Ostuni (she's an author, life-coach, amazing and inspiring person--her book Refuse to Choose was HUGE for me).

I'll be in Ostuni for a week (very Southern Italy), and then my adventure will unfold from there, with Bari being my first stop. I will be CouchSurfing (CS) and am so excited to learn about the local areas from the locals! Looking forward to local food, local customs, local scenery and local fun :) If you want to check out the CS website, it's an amazing mass of people who travel and host travelers in their homes, and are excited about showing their town to the traveler who stays with them (me!). It's a great way to meet new people and cut down on costs while you're at it. You can just google CouchSurfing.

I'm going to see how possible it is to keep up this blog while I'm there--I know the first week at least I will have some access to internet, and we'll go from there. As usual, I'm flying by the seat of my pants as much as is possible; it's more fun that way! And yes, parents, I'm also being smart and safe while I'm seat-flying.

Oh--and today I changed my name to Shaun Christy (first name) last name didn't change :) I had a dream and was told it was time to change my name! It came at an excellent time, as I have been going thru a bunch of change lately and so a fresh name feels exactly right. Alive, enjoying it all and walking the razor's edge; one step away from the loony bin :)
Love you all!

PS--if you are close to me location-wise (Dylan is house/dog sitting for me) please feel free to go by and play with my dogs for a bit if you have a moment, Dylan knows people are coming for dog therapy! The dogs would be overjoyed. I'm a bit sad about leaving them for that long!
